Giveaway: Planet of the Dogs

Thanks to the author, Robert J. McCarty, I have an extra copy of this book to give to one of my readers. Read my review .

Book Description:
Far out in the sky, on the other side of the sun, is the Planet of the Dogs. Dogs have always lived there in peace and happiness.
There are country dogs and city dogs. They live in places like Shepherd Hills, Poodletown, Muttville, Biscuit Town, and Shaggy Corners.
The most special thing about dogs is their ability to love. They do this better than any other creature.
One day, many years ago, the council of the elder dogs learned that there were problems on Earth, the Planet of the People. Many people had forgotten how to love. They had become cruel and greedy.
This is the story of the first time that dogs came down to Planet Earth to teach people about love and to bring peace to Green Valley.

My dog is Tony. We adopted him about 2 years ago and has enriched our lives tremendously. He loves to sleep with my husband (there is a picture in my blog). He is also jealous of my laptop and gets in between us so I can stroke him as I type.

One of the best parts is that when I get home from work, he is waiting for me and runs upstairs to get my husband. He makes my husband open the door for me so he can greet me when I get home.

My favorites are my own three dogs of course! When I was a kid I adored Benjy from the movies. He was so cute and very smart! I always wanted a dog just like him. Thanks for your contest. This sounds like a fun book.

I follow your blog and I also have you on my blogroll.

Cooper is my baby, the fuzzy fellow shown on my Google profile. He's still a puppy and lots of work and fun all at the same time!

My favourite dog was my Black Lab named Czar. I had him when I was a child and he died when I was 14 (so was he as we were the same age). He was such a gentle soul and he was so loving. He even used to smile...it was the cutest thing.

My favourite dog in my life was Tammy, our Boxer. Mom and dad had her before I was born and when I came home she became very protective of me. She would even pull me around the house by my diaper and supposedly I had a blast (except for the one time she went into a room that was a step down lol) She was such a great dog; we dressed her up in costumes, she would eat our gingerbread houses at Christmas when we went to church....ahh I loved her.

I would love to read this book.

Thanks

My youngest daughter would love this book so I'm going to tell you her favourite dog: Angie, our lab/shepard mix. They adore each other! :)

I'll post about this giveaway.

The only dog I ever had was Max. Someone abandoned him as a puppy outside a store where I worked. He was a frisky crazy black lab and I loved him! Couldn't keep him, though. I found him a nice home after about a month.
I'd love to win this book for my nephew. Thanks for the chance!

My favorite dog was Friedrich, a dachshund. He loved to run away, but I could get him back by standing at the door and unscrewing a jar of peanut butter. Those dachshunds have good ears!

Thanks for the contest!

My favorite dog was Sassy, our black lab/whatever dog we had when I was growing up. Sassy was the best dog ever! You could leave your plate on the floor and go to the bathroom, come back and the food would still be there. She was a clam, gentle soul who loved kids, and lived to be a rip old age of 19. I still miss her. :(

Let me tell you about my wonderful dog (don't tell her she's a dog though!) Her name is Lolo she's a 2yr old boston terrier/dacshund mix. I got her from a local shelter (which I am a strong believer in geting animals from shelters or rescue groups) and she is a wonderful little princess who loves anything soft, wearing her warm and soft coat, eating ice cream and making new friends!

So as you can see I love dogs so this book sounds really cute! Thanks for entering me! :)

I enjoyed your interview, this lookd like a great book. Of course being "peace loving old hippies" living in Costa Rica we would love it ha? And of course we have a chiauau named Rascal. Well we thought he was a chiauau until he started growing really weird hair as a small lad. Now he appears to be part chiauau and part terrier. And he loves Hannah!
